The HarperCollins Library Marketing team asked me to develop a visual identity for the Library Love Fest Podcast, an outlet to promote upcoming titles through conversations with authors, editors, librarians, and other publishing professionals. Their main platform was SoundCloud, so they needed some album art and a banner image for that site as well as some social media images and a banner ad for their blog to get started.

They were a highly personable group with a colorful and eclectic brand already established through print, digital, and in-person marketing efforts. The main audience for the podcast was librarians and readers of adult/YA novels, so I figured that digital imagery from the physical space of a library would resonate while providing some text fields for episode titles and guest names. After our initial meeting I photographed some old library card catalog cabinets and composited logos, text, and illustrations into some of the photos. I refined the assets with direction from the Library Marketing team, then passed them off with instructions for adapting them to future episodes.

Thanks for taking some time to view my work. I’m a web & graphic designer based in Los Angeles. Currently seeking new projects in UX/UI, print, motion graphics, branding, photo, and/or video fields. In 2016, I moved into design from marketing to follow my interest in relationships between digital and physical media, how they diverge and work together to help us access information, stories, environments, etc. Away from the screen, I enjoy playing the drums, going to concerts, running, meditating, and reading.
